Getting there...more battery box developments 25/10/14

With the Isle of Wight trip still fresh in our minds we return to progress on 2599, and a small update from the front line. Work continues to rectify the ravages of time suffered around the battery box compartment, and reverse many years of corrosion, with Gary and Robin having done a sterling job so far replacing the support beams that hold the floor above up. Attention turned to grinding away years of corrosion and paint on the exterior of the battery box, and with some assistance from Gary, our resident Big Girl's Blouse Paul braved his fear of sparks to successfully achieve this task, the end result smartening up the battery box exterior no end. Sorry leader, we've run out of bravery stickers and gold stars...
